Okay, I got this from Google today and I don't think they understand that all my website does it execute a GOOGLE search query.

If all my site does is SEARCH GOOGLE then how could I possible be in violation?

I think that its ironic I've had this up for a year and the minute I try to cash out they say Im in violation? Thats shady.

    Any ideas?

They're mentioning copyrighted materials. You had a rapidshare search website, and people mainly search rapidshare for illegal files and downloads. This is exactly why Google banned your account.

Um, okay it's not searching Rapidshare, it's searching GOOGLE for those file types.

    It's typing this into google:

    *.* "rapidshare.com/files/"|"rapidshare.com/files/"|"megaupload.com/"
    Code (markup):
    ..and then returning relevant WEBSITES.

    Thanks for replying tho.

You are still promoting the use of copyrighted data and illegal file sharing - I think Adsense are either telling you to stop doing this or use another service other than Adsense. Although I don't hold much hope for many companies wanting to advertise on a copyright infringement-related site.

Yeah I know, its just a bummer. If Google allows a search query for a specific file type, then why cant I have a site that types it for the user? That doesnt make sense to me :)

    Guess I'll cash out.

Im actually promoting the use of GOOGLE to search for a specific file type. If my site was a .txt search tool would it be any different?

Hm, maybe you're not quite reading the e-mail right.

    .

Rapidshare is about as legal-friendly as torrents. Yeah, right:rolleyes:

You can't really be expecting Google to open a new subdomain, warez.google.com - or are you, that is the question.

its like saying you running a porn google search and claiming you are within TOS.

Does matter what product you use, its everything to do with the way you present the data. since most of your users looking for copyrighted stuff its obvious that google found out from search logs.

you got banned because your site is using Adsense For Search and youve modified the code... All your site is, is ADSENSE FOR SEARCH with a modified Layout... read the TOS, your site is CLEARLY in violation of everything.

No offense, I love the way you created it and its a great idea... just against TOS to mod adsense codes like that

Honestly no, not really. I just saw so many sites like mine using Adsense I guess I thought it was okay. At least I just got a warning I guess.

I got the idea from this site: http://www.c3k.net/ and its using adsense.

Yes the fact that you have only changed the layout of the search may have been the cause of your ban but i think that google is getting worse day by day :S
