Adsense Ban: Invalid Clicks?

Discussion in 'Guidelines / Compliance' started by digitalmikey, Oct 11, 2006.

My account just got banned recently. The reason I was given was I had invalid clicks but I have no idea how this could have happened. I don't use any pay to surf programs. I just get most of my hits from search engines and link exchanges. Is it possible for people to purposely get your account banned by over clicking? Also has this happened to anyone else?

I've sent an account appeal email to Google regarding my account. Would I be better off calling Google about my situation? This is my first time using Adsense and just 3 months in I'm already experiencing problems. I am beyond pissed right now.

    Suggestions? heh

Sd2001: Sorry if this has been posted before by someone else, I just wanted to get suggestions tailored to my situation.

Bondat: No, I have not recieved my first check. I would have recieved my first check after this month as I reached $100, 2 days ago.

    Commandos: 0,05 %? Damn, man.

Should I start looking into Yahoo's program? :( Anyone know any others? Just in case. It just sucks because it took me 3 months to get this and now it's all gone.

    It's obvious

Just after you reach $100 the adsense team checks your sites

This is how they figured out you're doing something fishy.

I've seen this happen to many newbies ... as soon as they hit that $100 mark they got sniffed and banned....

I don't mean to be harsh, dude. It's just kind of funny to see the new "I got banned..." threads every day. Try not to take it personally.

There is a guide posted somewhere about the best measures to take to TRY to get your account back. Generally, Google is pretty stingy with this, though. It may be worth it to try, but I wouldn't lose too much sleep. There are just too many other ways to make money online.

YPN is a popular alternative. I don't use them much yet myself but I have no complaints yet. Of course, I don't use Adsense much, either.

There are also many affliliate programs, etc. you could try. Think outside of the box and you wont even miss Adsense.

    Another Adsense Ban:

I think atleast we are geting reports about adsense ban by a DP member every day I do not know when I will be banned

As even though my site is doing a average of $1 a day I am very much confused about adsense as they aban members even though he has not done any thing mischief

Dont be sorry, its just that the people that have been here a long time sometimes like to make a fool of people that dont have their eternal knowledge.

If you can call Google, do that, if you can visit them (yeah right  ), even better.
    Personal contact is good.

Many sites and people have been getting banned from Google for no reason at all, with Google quoting "Invalid Clicks."

No idea whats going on, but something is fishy with Google lately.

This kind of stuff terrifies me. Have any of the larger publishers had a problem with Google being Ban-Happy? I personally pay rent and eat by Google, and loosing them would mean finding a real life job. And I'm sorry, but I can't handle that..

Hey bro, just write them a nice elaborated email explaining your situation and send proof that you have been following their TOS. Be polite and tell them how much you love adsense, if you know what I mean..

Easy, guy. I told him I was joking.

Anway, here is an Adsense FAQ and the first topic is "How do I get unbanned?"

    Good luck.

we have no proof that they haven't done anything mischief - except his word

If google banned ppl without good reason, a lot of the publishers would shift fast to another advertising network...

besides.. google is a private company and it has the right to select it's business partners and clients

Yup. Just like you have the right to sever your ties with Google at any time, they have the right to sever their ties with you. Their TOS actually protects publishers and advertisers as well as Google.

Personally, I feel that they should be much stricter on publishers as far as MFA sites, etc goes. But that isn't up to me.

What kind of "link exchanges" did you participate in? That can be considered artificial traffic and lead to "invalid clicks".
