It was painful to lose my AdSense account. Google will just throw down the hammer at anytime without a warning. I remember the good times of earning $3k+ per month from AdSense. The other PPC stuff do not come close to what AdSense is offering.
Wow! You used to earn a lot from AdSense. Why did Google close your account? I've heard they do this very often and without warning. I used Chitika, and they don't even count all the clicks I make using Tor

I used to earn a lot with AdSense too... they seemed to have toned down in recent years. I find it really hard to get banned, though.
They don't throw it down at anytime. You were gaming the system, that's how you were making that 3k/month and that's why you got banned. Thing is, google hires a ton of very smart engineers, they have more brainpower than you and they will swat you like a bug if you try to game them. If you play the game the legit way though, you have absolutely nothing to worry about with adsense.

From what I understand, Goolge is starting to put more weight on the quality of content along with the feedback from the advertisers in regards to the CPC.

I totally agree. They make money from us so why on earth would they just ban people for no reason? Even if the website was borderline they would only ban the site and not the account.
I totally agree with you. There is no good reason for google of doing this, if you are making money for youself and for google also The problem comes when you try to cheat them. Google has to ban you to maintain its policies
!!I agree. It happens pretty often that google is valueing my clicks with 0.01$ only!! Usually I should get at least 0.7$/click. I have around 20clicks/day with adsense and such stupid values sum up..
whoa, i agree is painful. I hope your rankings didnt drop on serps after the ban so that you can still make money with your traffic. sometimes they can kill your traffic after adsense ban. The trick is to keep your earnings low, for me i would say not more than $1000 to $1500 per month. $3000 is very high and they dont need a reason to ban you. he he you rascal
Well I used to think also that they employ bright people, that's for sure but not in the adsense team, not the one who decide to either disable a site or ban a whole account, and certainly not those working at the appeal process. It's understandable since bright minds would be soon bored to death if they had to work in such position, so instead they employ monkeys. If you want to keep on believing it is the fault of the publisher when they're banned and their appeal denied, up to you. I used to think that also and still believed that in some rare cases it was an honest mistake since I've read stories where people with connections were able to have their account reinstated despite their appeal having failed at first. But today after witnessing my own case I don't think it is a rare occurence anymore. But if it never happened to you, I understand if you prefer to think that, so you feel safer a little bit. My account lasted 9 years, so for sure I knew about adsense's policies, I was doing very well and I had no intention of gaming the system for short additional gains and increased risk of having my account banned, what I was earning was already much more than enough to live on, I know I'm clean on this. But still you can keep on believing what you want, it doesn't change anything.
In simpler words, Adsense is good because adsense takes care of webmasters. if there were no adsense 80% of websites would have been shut-ted down. You know why. Adsense pays 10 times better than its competitors. It really hurts to think that there is no other good ways of monetizing other than adsense. I will really get hurt if for any reason adsense bans my account. As it is happening all around. Adsense customer service is horrible (really if you face any problem with your adsense you will understand. they made all things automated so there is no one to hear your problem, no live chat option or no email ticket system, nowadays, even a smaller company has these support systems but Adsense doesn't have). I think the market demands an alternative solution to google adsense. Adsense is doing monopoly here. Dont you think its time to start a new ads serving company that pays nearly or above what adsense pays?
