Really! Why would they announce this? Is this a rumour, or does it have some some authority? Also, how much of an increase in percentage terms.
why it's gonna rise? If your site will atract some new and rich advertisers you will earn more. Raising cost per click is not a rule. Until google will give us their commision but it's not gonna to happen
I don't think so. It depends on AdWords advertisers, nothing else. So, unless those advertisers are suddenly going to bid more for your adspace, nothing is going to happen! Too bad!
I dont see why it would increase accross the board when all keywords have a diffeent cost. Maybe it has something to do with inflation, I dont know.
rumour, i would say. At least for my sites, the earning is going to drop like never been before. 40+ clicks with 1.29$... well...
It would be great, however I believe the only way G could do this, is cut their share of the money per click e.g. we get 80% rather than 70%
Where did you get that idea from? I’ve noticed that the value per click on my site as increased somewhat but I doubt Google itself had anything to do with it. Like Pietercornelis said, advertisers are the ones that determine prices by bidding on keywords so prices will only increase if the number of Advertisers increase.
LOL. Where did you get that figure from, and more importnatly, why would they increase it by $1.25; surely, it will be a percentage increase that google cuts from their own share and raise towars publishers, if indeed, they are planning to do this, of course.
Ya, I thought Adwords was how you get paid anyway. They can't just raise the $ if they don't have the $ to give away.
I have to say this though. I’ve started noticing that my clicks are worth more since about mid last month. It used to take me 40 clicks to earn $4 now I can earn that with only 15 clicks. So I guess there has been some sort of improvement.
The thing is that I'm earning more for exactly the same amount of traffic, same content, same site, etc. Everything was kept the same and my earnings increased around 100%. I don't know if it was coincidence or if in reality Google did increase prices or payout percentages.
What google would do is to raise the minimum bid to 10 or 20 cents so those arbitrage spammers wouldn't fill our sites with low paying ads. Because no company don't advertise for few cents per click, bur probably for few 10 cents.
