You put an advertisement rock there and you put an advertisement rock here people jumps between them and you get the moneeeey. But the honeymoon has finished and the big G makes settlements.
that is huge news...from jen's article, it sounds like not all the termination emails have been sent yet. hopefully google will clarify their position on their adsense blog on Monday.
I think arbitrage is a game where very few people now succeed. People made their money but google has become too smart for them.
Well I don't know if it has anything to do with it but my adsense income is increasing daily for my main affiliate site (not MFA) with the same traffic amount. On average now: $0.15 CPC Before Google sent the mails out: $0.03 - $0.07 So I hope it has something to do with it. It's already a week increasing like that so I don't complain
Adsense arbitrage is when MFA sites buy cheap adwords click for 1 or 2 cents and make that traffic click on ads on their page. Essentially your buying traffic for 2 cents and selling it for 50 cents. I hope that helps.
Arbitrage exists in any market where there is opportunity to buy low and sell high. In the case of Adwords/Adsense its buying cheap keywords then converting them into high paying clicks. It is a good thing if they can stamp this out ... advertisers will start seeing a greater ROI and publisher earnings should increase in line with the ROI increase.
Slight increase here but not enough data to say if it's related or not. When did the emails first start going out? I glanced at my site earlier and at least two of the big offenders are still there.
Perhaps they are trying to make all the money they can before June 1st. I don't blame them, since their accounts are going to be terminated then.
Hey - This is a great Post , thanks for sharing ! I am glad to see that clicks might become more Valuable in the future
Interesting post from two months ago Sound familiar? http://www.publisher-world.com/read.php?9,6838,6854
Hmm good find.... http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adsense/3287823.htm also adds support even though it is a bit old.
Whoah CPCs are going to increase because of this? When I voted in the poll I didn't know that! I would like to change my vote from "couldn't care less" to the "yay" one.
In the long term they should increase as more adwords advertisers begin to see increases in RIO, causing a greater opt in, therefore increasing CPC.
I think jensense has stolen content straight from my blog. Its interesting to note that I make this post on the 18th, and so does she? http://mubinahmed.com/made-for-adsense-sites-dead-made-for-textlinks-in/ Im gonna hit her with a C&D and see what happens Don't say I didnt tell you beforehand. Edit: Has anyone here actually gotten this email?
Google Arbitrage: You pay for an ad on Adword and try to recoup with ads from Adsense. Anyway, the problem is that Google is transfering the full responsibility on the webmasters. Don't forget that some people were making a living out of this and suddenly some guy in an ivory tower decides to pull the plug. They have the power so they use it, no discussion you lose. What is next? Can't use RSS? Or blogs are bad business? No more "low quality links" from directories allowed? Google could have tracked the arbitrage programmatically and deemed the clicks void. "their use of their AdSense account is an unsuitable business model" is bloody arrogant IMHO
Already at 67% of yesterdays clicks and almost making the same amount. I am seeing a difference with my CPC... I think. It usually takes me 1-2 weeks to make any judgments, but I was very pleased with the news this morning.
Not only MFA sites do arbitrage right ? I hope this isn't going to result in a fiercer competition where publisher can easily ban each others in the same niche.
