Adsense arbitrage...against the rules?

Someone please clarify this for me.

I know many do arbitrage (buying clicks (ie traffic) and recycling that traffic for higher paying clicks.)

Google says on their Program Policies page that "third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs."

    https://www.google.com/adsense/policies

Am I getting this correct? You can do arbitrage by buying from Google and using Google's ads, but you cannot buy clicks from another site like Yahoo into your site?

It has to be a strictly "Google on both ends" deal when doing arbitrage?

What are the do's and don'ts on Google arbitrage?

No, Yahoo is Pay Per Click not Pay-To-Click so you can do click arbitrage using Yahoo Search Marketing. Paid To Click is when people are paid to click on ads that and are basicly useless + bad traffic that a lot of companies like Google doesn't like.

Arbitrage is fine as you are bringing visitors to your site and they can do whatever they want to there.

If you are asking about the straight MFA-s with only ads and no content on the page for now Google lets them live. We'll see how long will this continue

Adsense Arbitrage is as old as Adsense itself. You are confusing paying for targeted (or semi-targeted) traffic via PPC networks with those "pay to surf" programs where people go to your site for one second and move on. They are not anywhere close to being the same.

adsense arbitage is completely legal the trick is to get people to actually click on the ads once you pay for them to visit the website.

Do people who do AdSense arbitrage make much money? I would presume that it would be a difficult process to make much money from.

People wouldn't do it if they didn't make money.

The thing is however, you most likely have to deal in large amounts of money.

You may need to buy $40,000/month in keywords to get a $2,000/month return because the profit margin may be small.

I have made GREAT money with arbitrage. I'm actually getting ready to release a guide to doing it for subscribers of the software in my signature.

Say what you will. I don't do anymore adsense arbitrage as the profit margins are almost non existent these days. I do quite a bit of arbitrage with yahoo ypn though.

Its not against rules as long as incentives are not put to click. :)
But arbitraging is probably is tough most thing to earn good bucks.

Even if you make no money, it's still a good way to grow a quality site.

Collect email addresses for a newsletter (for the people who don't click on another add).

If you can just break even or show a very very small profit, it's worth it to recycle as much relevant traffic through your site as possible.

you do not want to use an actual website for an arbi page. You want to keep it simple :) No leaks

I make quite a bit with adsense arbitrage. I will say that you DONT need a major investment to start out with, as long as you know what you are doing. Like tunedtv said, keep it simple. Only allow two ways out of your site: either through your ads, or the back button. ;)

Jon has talked about adsense arbitrage pretty in depth at his affiliate marketting blog

And yes it definitely does work.

    P.S.- His information is free.

I still do some arbitrage, but why pay per click for the traffic when you can get it for free? Thus the software I use.
