Is YPN analagous to google's Adsense?

If so, what are the pro's con's of each. Favorites anyone?

Yahoo Publisher Network, it's Yahoo's answer to AdSense. Purportedly, it gives better payouts than AS, but it's US publisher only.

Their inventory isnt anywhere near as big as Googles to date so the ads are much less targetted. CPC tends to be more but for many sectors G will payout better overall due to better targeetted ads.

YPN pays much better than google..... I was getting almost $1/click. Its a shame they banned my main site..... due to "adult content" which is complete bullcrap.

YPN is shown to usually pay more than Google AdSense, but ads are less targeted. It is a trade off as I say in my blog post. Do you want?:
    1. AdSense: More targeted ads (usually more clicks) but less per click
    2. YPN: Less targeted ads (usually less clicks) but more per click

Also, YPN doesn't allow eye-drawing images next to their ads while AdSense does, so you may have to take this into account.

    here is a link:
    http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum110/481.htm

it says "Guy told me the reason they haven't gone international is quite simply because advertisers, so far, are only paying for ads to be shown in usa and they have no idea when they will go international. "

also, a similar discussion regading when YPN will include publishers from outside the US, right here on digital point:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=105041

it says that if they move outside the US, their rates would drop below those of google adsense. any thoughts why?

YPN: almost no targeted ads. boo. the payout was better but then it started to decline. i went back to adsense. i'll try YPN once they can probably start serving more relevant ads.

It sounds like YPN would perform better on a site with broad scope.

    Is this the case?

    Thats a nice comparision.

I am from India and waiting for YPN to go Internation. I am sure that the paying rate would be low with YPN when it goes internation. But Competition between Adsense and YPN will always bring better result.

    Is not it?

Yahoo is at start and maybe has less members than Google so if you have a good traffic site I don't know if you like to replace AdSense with YPN. It's your choice ;).
