I have 3 different channels in adsense, and 2 of them displayed on the same main page. I noticed that a lot of times, those advertisement are the same. So I want to switch one of the banners to YPN, but I heard they displayed irrevalent advertisement. So my question is that ok if on the same top banner, I want to display both the adsense and YPN, not at the same time. It will be randomly display, sometimes adsense and others times YPN? So this way there are more advertisement choices on my site that may make people click. Right now, I have about 60 unique visitors each day, and I get 1 click each day.
you cannot have same type of contextual ads on the same page. since YPN is pretty much same type of contextual ads as adsense, i dont believe it is allowed.
So how can I increase the relavant advertisement on my site without getting ban? Basically, adsense displays the same kind of advertisements on every page, and the channels display redudant advertisements, so my return visitors probably won't click them. I mean the advertisement they display is relavant, but very limited. I go to other similar websites, and they have the same kind of advertisments. So the visitors probably got tired of seeing the same advertisment on all other sites, so not very likely to click.
When google displays the same ads in two different positions on the same page, it usually means they have very little ad inventory that is relevant to your content. Try text ads instead of banner image ads. Google has more text ads than image ads.
yah, I set it to both text and image. The image I don't see it often on other people's website, but the text advertisement I see them on every related website I go to. If I can't put them on the same page, can I put different advertisement on different pages? I mean adsense on the main page, and then YPN or doubleclick on a different page?
we are telling you to turn off image ads in at least one of the ad blocks... typically you'd do that on the ad block with the best positioning on the page. you can't control what specific advertisers are used with adsense.
@sultanofseo: I mailed adsense support sometime back about the same issue. Acc to them as long as the ads of other advertising networks maintain different look and feel , we can run any ads alongside. I think there was such restriction in the past but now they are bit more lenient.
