ok so I have read that it is possible to get paid by posting youtube videos and then have google put an ad on the page... one of the methods is shown in this example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-Z5dXDEZFo make a popular music video with lyrics, then google will put an ad on the page, and then you get paid! Anyone use or know if this would work?
Same question, I'm wondering if you can create an account and insert your Adsense api code or something?
As long as you 100% own the video and everything in it, you can submit it to Youtube. Once this has happened, you can submit an application requesting to join Youtube Publisher program. Your app will likely be rejected if you 1. Don't have a lot of video views. 2. Don't own what's in the videos you make.
so in the example I provided... since the user owns the video he made but does not own the song... legite?
I read on another board that youtube will pay 2.50 per 1000 views once your a partner... can anyone verify this???
This happens to be something I know plenty about and it is not as easy as the poster of this thread thinks. You can become a Youtube Partner in which you are able to post ads on all of your videos, or if you make a video popular enough you may get asked to post ads on that single video. In order to place ads on a video, you have to be able to prove that the video is 100% your own content. From the visual, to the audio, and the whole deal. In order to get asked to post ads on your video you generally have to have at least several thousands views and a good amount of ratings and comments which shows them people are interested in your video. In order to become a Partner there are no set standards, but most people estimate that it is around 100k+ total video views and 1k+ subscribers. And if you have any strikes on your account for copyright issues than you might as well forget it.
