This must be an old chestnut and I am sure there has been discussion about this before, but can't seem to find it. Are there any benefits to SEO if you display Adsense on your site? One thing I know for sure is that the GoogleBot DOES follow up on any links that the MediaBot has "found" (by having ads displayed on it) - I know because I accidentally got some pages indexed for a site that wasn't supposed to be live yet, by displaying Adsense on there. Google soon found me..! I also notice if I publish some new content with Adsense on it, the GoogleBot is onto it very quickly. However, this I can't guarantee is due to Adsense because I keep an up-to-date sitemap. I'm sure I could test this fairly easily if anyone is particularly curious. So is there any use in this as a SEO method? I mean, if you use a sitemap, Google will find you anyway, right? The question is, does it favour pages with Adsense on? You would think so, wouldn't you?
There is no benefit whatsoever. And that goes with ANY legitimate adveretising network you choose to use.
I think there is no relationship between adsense and SEO. adsense have no effect in ur site ranking, but there is one thing that u can count. if u put too many ads on one page, then its load time will increase, so that will have a effect, but this effect is very samll one
Just to revive this thread a little, I can confirm one thing that I have been experimenting with: when you add new content to your site, the quickest way to get the Googlebot (yes, the Googlebot, not the Adsense bot) to visit is to refresh that page a couple of times. Especially if you have a number of new dynamic pages, it might be worth cycling through them in your browser. I have done this on numerous occasions and have seen the Googlebot visit my new content within just a few seconds sometimes. That doesn't guarantee those pages will get indexed of course, but it is probably quicker than updating your sitemap, even if you have automated this process. Just a though - maybe Adsense IS useful for SEO in some sense...
