From everything I have read, the way a site potentially could climb the PR ranks is by having plenty of inbound link and just a few (in any) outbound links. Obviously content effects PR as well in regards to quanity and the uniqueness of the content. My question is a simple one for you SEO gurus: If you incorporate AdSense into your site will Adsense have an effect on your pr? On the Flip Side, if we are a paying member to AdSense (advertising your product) does your PR increase as links to your site become populating other websites with AdSense? I am mainly curious because I presently have many outbound links (yes I know....but they are needed for the site) and was just curious if those AdSense Banners were also considered outbound. My already existing prolly never allow me site to reach above a 3 but with AdSense it would be lucky to hit a 1 or 2....heh Thanks again
Obviously not. Don't confuse PageRank (green bar) with the ranking of a page. They are far from the same.
The adsense links are Javascript, and as far as I know none of the SE's are indexing java. So, therefor the links may not as well even exist. I do think they'll soon start indexing java (I've heard) but even so I doubt they'll index java with url's fetched from alternate websites.
Incorporating adsense onto your site will have no affect on your PR. Even if Google was reading javascript, they control which sites they place on your website and this creates the problem of Google giving one website more powerful ads (ads that pass more PR) than what ads they show on a similar website. They wouldn't be able to manage that in a just way.
There are two ways to increase your pagerank. The first one is easy depending on your site. Write lots and lots of content. Each page of content has rank, add them all together and you get more rank on your site in general. If you write 100 pages, then that is a good start. A better start would be a few more hundred. The more pages the more they add up. You just need to put your main domain on the footer of each page as a link. This is one reason why blogs rank pretty well. Lots of content. The second way is a link campaign. The idea now is to have relevant sites link to you. This requires a lot of pleading with other webmasters in your subject matter. You could always go with general directory sites, but those tend to add less if not much rank at all. A good idea is to have a blogger write about your site. This works very well.
I appreciate it all. I was just curious. I have no intentions of removing the AdSense because I am hoping after a years time I may have enough saved up from it to buy my son some new Vega Tires for his kart Although I am far from 100 less alone 300 pages of content, I do currently have approximately 25 pages of content plus a new blox for each week outlinking that weeks chassis setup, tire pressures/stagger/hardness, and various other miscellaneous set up items we may decie to try out. In hopes to ofer a way for other young teams starting out a good starting point based upon our experiences Also every link on my sons site is very much kart related (chassis, body, tach, engine, and safety manufactures plus a few other key karting site I visit frequently. Have one Tennessee karter and hope to have more of those as time goes on This is only our first year in karting so it will be a learning experience both my son, the driver, and me, the pit dad....heh I rekkon my pages must be getting indexed really well because a few of my pages have a future pr of 5 and a few of 3 and an average of 4. Not sure how accurate the future rankin is because it varies from one future page rank service to another but atleast it ain't zero anymore....heh Thanks again for the feedback and look forward to learning more....off a searching I ago....heh
