AdSense and News Sites/Aggregators

    Hi

Is it okay to have a news aggregation site that collects news from a variety of different sources and plants them on my site with links back to the original articles?

Is it okay to then place AdSense ads on this site? Or will AdSense ban my account soon after I start making money?

    Thanks a lot.

Anyone? I need someone who can give me a definitive answer, there's loads of these sites out there with AdSense but that doesn't mean to say they won't run into problems in the future.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you link to the source, the biggest example of this is drudge report and drudge is a premium publisher with numerous case studies done on his model of news aggregation.

Thanks, glad you helped me out.

But I really just want to make sure as I don't want to spend a lot of time on it and then get banned.

Also I heard premium publishers get more rights than average joes like me.

in a simple word it is like taking the news from other website or other sources and put it in to your website right? i am sure that you are going to be in a great problem if you use the adsense in that copied content website.
    thanks

I don't think it's illegal since the sites condone news aggregators through RSS feeds etc, but I think it's just against AdSense policy as these sites wouldn't have unique content to give.
