I recently started a blog, I'm new to all this SEO and niche business but I'd like a bit of input from you guys, I've read quite a few topics posted on this forum and my understanding is getting better. My blog is http://mw2updates.blogspot.com What can I do to my blog to yeild better Adsense results, do you think the ads are in the right place ect? I'm also an Author on this site: http://modernwarfare2cod.com It gets about 2000 views every day sometimes more and I have an ad on the front page which should help with traffic to my site. Thanks in advance, Josh
Well right away that'll be a good backlink to start off with. Make sure to post the link and get some anchor text. To do this, since apparently your focus is mw2 updates type out the words Mw2 Updates and then hyperlink (insert link) over those words. Also make another post telling people to visit it. I would find some gaming forums and make accounts and have your signature as the inserted text. Also submit your site to digg, stumpleupon, and other similar sites.
Start by reading more here on the fourms and contributing. When you can add your like so people will visit your blog and you'll get more traffic, which equals more clicks. Good Luck
Get a domain to establish your brand. Visit mw2 forums regularly and establish yourself as an expert. Create a facebook fan page and twitter account. Regularly post mw2 news and updates in your twitter status and facebook fan page status.
The ads placements are good, build good backlinks and update your blog with high quality content and some work with SEO and you'll start earning money
I suggest you to get your domain. Establish a credible and trusted site, join discussions here and you'll be guided on your adsense journey!
Ok many thanks for the suggestions guys, I've submitted my site to Digg and Stumble upon, When I publish new content I use Ping-o-matic and I have just registered my domain http://mw2updates.co.uk
Many thanks guys, after two tedious days of hard work with my site I'm starting to see traffic slowly coming through!
Sorry for the double post guys, I didn't feel it was necessary to post a new thread. I've just redesigned my website, I think it looks alot more appealing but I'd like a few other opinions too! http://www.mw2updates.co.uk/
