I put the code on my site and everything is going well. The code was pretty easy to put on every page using a global replace and it's working well, both technically and financially. My travel site is making more with Google and Kontera. Instead of asking a ton of questions, I applied and already started making some revenue.

OK, their reporting won't make Google nervous, but they look pretty small to me, so I am cutting them a break. I'm just glad every ad isn't the same (my friend has a travel site with their competitor and every ad is for Microsoft) and that they actually respond to my emails -- that's a little rare in this business.

Stop wondering and start making bank!

I put it on my resume site and got these stats for the first day.

    date/impressions/click/CTR/Revenue/ECPM
    02/19/2007 / 36,003 / 1,270 / 3.53% / $110.09 / $3.06

Looks good to me. Lets see if it is maintained.

Here are my results for the first two days:

    Date --------- Imp ----- Clicks ----- CTR ------- Earnings ------ CPM
    02/18/2007 -- 6,063 ---- 295 ------ 4.87% ------ $30.20 ------ $4.98
    02/19/2007 -- 6,381 ---- 258 ------ 4.04% ------ $25.78 ------ $4.04

So they are holding fairly steady.

I joined Kontera as "a friend of Joel" and I must thank you Joel. I've been trying to get into Kontera but my traffic just wasn't up to their requirements. Two days after putting Kontera in my sites, I'm making money! Not much compared to ADsense, but it's the diversification that thrills me.

And with ADsense getting their targetting all messed up very often now, Kontera's ads seem to be spot on... so they are filling in the very large holes that Adsense is making with their problems serving targetted ads.

My last two cents?... Go join as a "friend of Joel Comm". You won't regret it... diversification is ALWAYS good.

Hey Joel, I don't know if you will read this or respond, but why did you want people to sign up as "Friends of Joel's" I mean I did mention your name when I signed up, but are your working with Kontera now or were you just getting a kick back or what?

And don't get me wrong or anything I'm stoked that you made this thread I have already made an additional $55 after to days, so if you're getting a kick back or anything is no skin off my nose, I'm just happy to be able diversify my income more and increase my revenues! I was just interested in your motivations?

    Hello everyone,

Joel, how can I block a keyword from being highlighted? Running Impress-watches.com store online but the keyword "replica" that appear in the ad does not suit our small biz.

So please help. Need to block out this word specifically.

    Thanks.

    Sincerely,
    Yahya

I'm making more money with Kontera combined with Adsense, than I was making with Adsense alone. I still have yet to play with the zone and div placements of Kontera though.

Thumbs up for Kontera, and thumbs up to Joel for letting us know. He's one of the few "gurus" that actually add frickin' value to the web.

    Wow.. lots of questions!

Ok, to see a site that has AdSEnse and Kontera, visit my blog at www.joelcomm.com ... go to any complete entry and you'll see. It's very nice. :)

One wanted to know how to block certain keywords from being highlighted. They will do that for you manually. Email list your site name and the message should basically say- "please block the following words on my site from receiving ContentLinks (ads)." Also, if you would like to block certain advertisers, you can do the same thing. :)

Yes, you can use Kontera on other sites. You must place your tag on the first approved site and then let them know you want more tags for more sites. Easy!

Glad to see so many people signing up and making more money!

    Joel
