What a load of crap HubPages is! They must spew out about 6 ad units on one single page and you only get a share. To make things worse, they run links as nofollow that don't qualify above a certain point criteria.

@Ryan it is Kind of Crap.I think you have to be Very Active in the Community to Get that Kind of Score. But Also the Fact that you Can Get Flagged so Easily for being Over Promotional on a Site with all those Ads

traditionally adsense CTR on hubpages is not very promising. hubbers dont click on a single ad and yuo only get clicks from real visitors finding your site naturally. that is even at a certain % of total visits. unless you have ton of traffic from search engines, dont expect much. i myself use hubpages only for backlinks and not for revenue

For the amount of work needed to get organic traffic, I'd say it's better to create your own site than using HubPages. Plus there is a risk that HubPages will get penalized by Google like Squidoo did.

Aye. The thing that bugs me about Adsense with HubPages is that they have to have full access to your Adsense account which I don't like. Obviously they have to earn money so go ahead and throw an ad up, but not several units. I believe any content below 1000 words will usually make your backlinks nofollow - this would equate to you offering them free content (doing all the work) and then they'll split the revenue. Offering a share of Adsense is good, but not if the links are gonna be nofollow; makes much more sense to run Adsense on your own blogs. I would always go to Squidoo before HubPages and they actually have a higher PageRank when I last checked. If it is about getting a backlink then I would always go to EzineArticles. HubPages seem to just want everyone to do all the hard work for them for a split share of the cost. At least with Squidoo you get the backlink and the lenses aren't spewed full of ads.:D

Squidoo is much better than hubpages. Not only because of the PR but also because, for some reason, Google likes Squidoo more than hubpages.
You should also try ezinearticles, or Associated Content(if you want revenue share).

Never really thought about earning in pennies, all i do care about hubpages is the backlinks and traffic i get on my sites from it. Thats it!

@sammyart I agree because you can Put your Feed in Squidoo and you wont Get Flagged because you Wrote a Lens about your Blog. Also Payout is Better Because if you Want to Get Paid from Hub Pages you Have to Wait until you Make $100 from Adsense and with such a Small Revenue Share that will Take a Long Time. I think squidoo is only about $5 payout via Paypal.Has anyone Tried Trinod?

They Also want you to Join Kontera which would be Impossible to make Payout so you are Earning Affiliate Money for them .Plus you are Always better off with your own blog on your Own Domain because you can Always Sell it if it Reaches a good PR

I earn around 100$/month from Hubpages and I'm very happy with the system. My blog can't drive any traffic but my Hubs have very good search engine traffic. You can have a look at my blog (in my signature) for more details of my earnings.
