If your website is "product related", Chitika probably does better than Adsense. If you want to use Chitika and Adsense in the same page, make sure you put the following lines in your Chitika code: ch_non_contextual = 1; ch_query = "keyword1, keyword2"; Code (markup): You may also hide the "Search" tab in Chitika ad by adding this line: ch_nosearch = 1; Code (markup): By the way, I received 50 bucks from Chitika.
Works pretty smooth, thanks. Another question, when I put 2 keywords into, ch_query = "keyword1, keyword2"; - will ads show randomly or will they show the same always.
Looks very interesting.. Thanks for all the information.. I think this could work very well in some places and I love the minimall concept. The good thing is programs like this really help the web publisher. It gives us more tools to work with in order to monetize sites which ultimately means more revenue.
That's exactly what I want to know - like with Adsense - how many einiMall ads can I put on one page ? Couldn't find that info in their Q&A's. Stan
I just applied, got approved. And the ads are live on one of my websites. WIll play with it for a week or so and then see if it works for me. Will post here of how it works for me. Thanks, it looks good.
More on the story here: http://www.threadwatch.org/node/4109 Also, AdSense and Chitika can apparently be used on the same site: http://pchere.blogspot.com/2005/09/chitika-eminimalls-google-adsense-on.html Tips on using Chitika here: http://www.liewcf.com/blog/archives/2005/10/make-money-with-chitika/
there are no limits on how many per page as far as I can see. Also - if you've applied and not heard anything within 12 or so hours I'd email them. They have had some problems with their email server and some people have not been getting emails from them.
Took less then 24 hours for me to get approved. I'll test it out for a few weeks on two of my sites and provide an unbiased review.
looking forward to your review mizt - will be interesting to see how they go on a different type of page - ie fishing products.
yeah darren... thanks for your effort.. you're just clear it up..! now, I already put the chitika eminimalls in my blog... and I'm also put your statement in my blog regarding this "confusing"... To Alang, "Selamat Berpuasa"...
Hmm.. I haven't seen any reason not to use them.. and with what ppl are saying, it does make sense - the ads are appealing, and far more engaging than AS. I think I'll give it a go. Thanks for your observations everyone.. Cheers, JL
thanks alang... I hope so, because I do believe this kind of "industry" will make me happy...!! "satu negara, takkan la aku tak kenal ko..."
Man these minimalls are good. After weeks like this one I kick myself for not finding and trying them earlier!!! if only....
Maybe everyone stopped looking because we were too confident that adsense is the best paying programme out there?
I noticed you are only showing one or two tabs. Do you think that is working better than showing the others like search, reviews, etc.? Edit: I checked out the layout samples. I see they only have two tabs for the smaller units (duh!). I'm using the banner size. I'll rephrase my question - Which tabs do you think are most effective (at increasing CTR)? I kind of like the interactivity of allof the tabs, unless it lowers CTR of course!
