    Ok,

Am I correct in thinking on a html email with adsense in it wouldn't work? The bot has to fetch the page obviously.

Including html from the server in the email?

    Am I wasting my time?
    Is it possible?
    TOS issues?
    Thoughts?

No! I'm not thinking of spamming the world...

Most Email clients indeed block JS by default so you wouldn't get very far but... It's not allowed by means of the TOS anyway so forget about it.

AdSense does have AdSense for email newsletters (which is not done via javascript) but it is only being used by a handful of publishers that Google selected for beta testing.

You can always put your newsletter on a public site and include it in your email using an iframe ;)

That is still against the terms/policies.

What you can do is place your html newsletter on your site, and then send out the email newsletter directing subscribers to the URL online to read it.
