So what's the rule regarding adsense sites for sale on eBay? Are sellers allowed to use active adsense ads on the sites they link to for sale? I see alot of them doing this. Thank you.

Actually I do believe that if they do this they are in violation of the TOS that ebay has in regards to this. I would email them though to double check, but I used to sell on there and I believe that this is still the case.

wow. If that's true there are thousands of listings in violation of ebay policy in the "website and internet business" category.

Actually that would be right. Here is the policy from ebay: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-links.html You can find the below under additional information.

From what you present there I actually think I can see why eBay seems to allow it. A site with just adsense links and content (and no shoping cart of its own) doesn't really violate any of those rules. The actual site linked in any one adsense website auction itself doesn't necessarily sell anything. It just hosts ads of still other websites that do the selling. So, technically, most (or some) adsense website sellers aren't linking to a site that is actually selling anything.

I should still ask ebay though.

If you read it they do not allow links to other websites even adsense links, shopping carts etc. You have to deactivate these or only show an image of the site. Here is the line in the policy:

If you are still confused then you should contact ebay directly so that they can explain this even further, but any seller that is showing a live site is not allowed to have active links on them. It would essentially be profiting from any traffic generated by ebay and this is what they are trying to avoid with their policy.
