adsense and doubleclick

what is the difference between adsense and double click.How can We join in doubleclick.I just visited the site but not getting an idea.

DoubleClick is a company that develops and provides Internet ad serving services. Google acquired it in April 2007 for US $3.1 billion in cash.

So just sign up to Adsense.

I think they work with big companies only.

 

Yes to get Doubleclick publisher or Advertiser or Agency account you have to be big and pay for it. So don't bother about it. Just signup for Adsense and if you like to use an Adserver then go for Doubleclick for Small publishers (previously Google Admanager). Its free. You just require an Adsense account.

Google bought doubleclick sometime ago. Now it is using doubleclick technology to provide webmasters like us be able to serve 3rd party display ads. What Google has done is to link up doubleclick with adsense so that we can sell display ads and when there isnt any ads on display, we can use Google adsense as backfill.

It also extends the coverage for Google content network to the big advertising boys who do alot of display ads.

They're kind of the same thing. Adsense uses some of the previous doubleclick technology. You can only sign up for adsense.

 

Google bought DoubleClick because of it's very very good tracking technology.

Double click allows to manage your ad inventory and if its not filled then you can enable adsense ads.
