Many of you have directory sites on your signatures. How profitable is one directory site with PR 3 or 4 and 500-1000 visitors/day if you put adsense on it ?!

it's hard to say, if directory has many indexed (not suplemental) pages, then it's worth to place ads. You can get 1000 uu / day or even more. If directory is not ranked well at SERPs, or it's bad quality you won't earn much or get banned on search engines.

To be frank, There is not much revenue from Adsense if you put it in Directory.
The main earning is from selling links and Featured Links.

    NO.
Most of submissions are automated or outsourced (from what I can see on mine), plus webmasters submitting their sites are not the best clickers in the world.
