Okay, a simple question... My website has started getting the Digg effect [twice or thrice a month]...that means some of my posts make it to the main page of Digg.com and it brings around 30k to 50k hits per day..my question is if google has any problem with that or not? Because normally my site makes $10/day but when i have the digg effect...I can expect around $25 or may be more for that particular day....and of course these are unique hits Thanks
As long as its all organic traffic and you are following TOS you have nothing to worry about. May want to think about a CPM instead of CPC campaign also.
I believe they are legit because I'm not personally asking 50k people to come on my website and click the ads... It's all random...Also is it better to inform google about the upcoming change in the traffic? You know if the posts gets famous and comes on the main page again...the traffic will jump from 2000 to 50,000...
Traffic from Digg is not a problem. It's perfectly OK with AdSense. Hopefully you will make some money, diggers don't like AdSense very much.
I don't think Traffic from Digg will have nay problem for your Google adsense account and your earnings
I haven't had any problem with Google complaining, but I have noticed that sometimes when I hit the front page and traffic really takes off that G starts using really cheap ads on my site that aren't really contextually related. My CPC and CTR usually drops big time. The links and comments are definitely worth it though.
I've been on the front page of Digg twice with no problem. and there is nothing in the adsense TOS that i can find that says otherwise.. but.. you'd be lucky if you got $25/day out of Digg traffic.. they just dont click.
