Adsense and content

    Hi all,

I am curious what has been people's experience with their sites as far as content with adsense - specifically, when adding "content" to your site that's designed to bring in Adsense revenues, what kind of content is it? I know this will vary from site to site, but I think I'm just trying to get a feel for what kind of 'content' I should add more of to my site if I'm designing with Adsense in mind.

I definitely want to put effort in to make it a good site, but at the same time, while I love web design, I have a full-time job and can't spend more than 10 hours/week or so working on the site or creating new content.

Are basic text articles and resources (original authored, of course) the best since they work well with keyword-topic ads? Or is adding more 'dynamic functionality' - searches, active link/topic directories, find/browse tools a better way to go? What have you found works pretty well on your own sites (regardless of topic, niche, keywords, etc)

Also, to manage said Adsense-related content, what do you tend to use - an auto CMS like PHP-Nuke, Joomla, PHP/ASP/etc hand-coded server pages? It seems like it might be harder to use AdSense effectively on these kinds of pages where their form factor isn't as dynamic. Or are you more likely to just manage everything by hand, adding links, moving pages/articles/etc around manually?

Thanks in advance, I hope this question doesn't seem too newbiesh (or misplaced) :)
