Hi, On my pages I have an advert at the top and one at the bottom. Two 728x90 banners. I have setup "google_alternate_ad_url" for both banners to go to show Clicksor ads if Google does not have any ads. The problem I have is that sometimes google cannot serve an advert for the top banner, but it can for the bottom one. So I end up with a Clicksor ad at the top and a Google ad at the bottom. I could use some JavaScript to test if the Clicksor ads have been served to prevent the AdSense ones, (or prevent Clicksor if AdSense is already showing). But is ClickSor and Google against the TOS when showing as an alternate? FFMG
Hi FFMG, Are you sure about this? I was under the impression that AdSense would only use the Alternate URL if it had *no* ads to serve. I do know that if there are no AdSense ads served on a given page, then you can serve pretty much whatever you want by using the Alternate URL. Can you post an example where both are showing on the same page? Sam
Sure, I'm sure But it is a bit hard to give a link as it does not always happens, go to my home page http://www.journalhome.com and click on one or two of the latest blog entries. Most might be fine, (Google at top and bottom or Clicksor at top and bottom), but you might also find one or two entries that will cause Google at the bottom and Clicksor at the top. (BTW some paid accounts only have Google at the bottom) FFMG
Google serves the first banner that shows up on the page, so unless this is a blog and you've mixed up your footers and headers or whatnot, this shouldn't be an issue.
Sorry, I am not sure I understand at all what that means. Yes, it is a blog, and my footers and headers are not mixed up. Even if they were I still don’t understand what the blogs might have to do with it. Or even that the footer gets served and not the header. The fact remains, the header is Clicksor and the footer is Google. FFMG
Well, I took a look at your site, and as you might have guessed...I only saw AdSense OR Clicksor, never both at the same time. Kind of like taking your car to the mechanic. You may want to get in touch with AdSense Support, because I don't think that's supposed to happen... Sam
