adsense and cj.com on same page..

    Hey,

I have an adsense block of ads and cj.com rotating set of banner ads on the same page which I assumed wasn't a violation of the TOS as the cj.com ads aren't contextual adverts.. However someone I know e-mailed them to ask them specifically and was told they were a violation of the program policies?

    Has anyone else heard this?!

I'm going to take mine down too just in case but I am a bit confused..

Very doubtful, many members run both, myself included. CJ ads are not contextual so there shouldn't be a problem or TOS violation.

    Hmmm..I don't think so.

If this was the case, the "CJ Network Quality" Bot would detect you have Adsense on your page.

Oh I should probably specify that I am using the cj.com smartzone to display the ads but as I understand that it is just randomly rotating from a selection of banner ads I have chosen?!

    Here's another question but related:
I had an image adsense banner 468 X 60 then after a bit started displaying the famous public ads by Google.

    Can I do this:
    Q) If a public ad shows, take a CJ banner ad of same size, save it in my images directory where if clicked goes to where CJ was initally directing it too with my ID? I'd then have to use the "alternate URL" option within Adsense, mapped to the CJ banner I discuss above to make this work?

Is that ok to do I wonder?

    Thanks,

Yeah you can use CJ as an alternative, you'll need to create a file that contains all the CJ code and have that as the Alternate URL.

Sure, you can use CJ ads in our alternate URL. You don't need to host the image. Just create a page with just the ad code and use that as your alternative.
