Hi, i have just launched a site which will help raise money for charity. Would me telling users that I give a percentage of my advertising revenue to charity be allowed or should I keep this under my hat? I don't want to give users an inscentive to click on my adverts but I do want them to know that my site is giving to charity. What shall I do? All comments appreciated. Thanks
I guess this may be grand scheme of yours to play on the sympathies of people. Well, I don't think it actually works. Anyway, i think it would be deemed as drawing attention the ads, so you should avoid it.
You shouldn't tell your users that some of the advertising revenue goes to Adsense as Google will not be pleased by this. Advertisers won't like it either because some of your visitors might click without any interest in the actual ad and only because it is helping a charity. I recommend that you have an image somewhere on your site that says: "We Support _______." That's really the best alternative I can think of.
best thing to do is to email google and dont waste time asking us lot since lets face it we really do not know
No, you cannot tell them that the ad revenues go to charity. It'll attract undue attention.. You could however have apage in your site where you explain that website revenues go to charity without mentioning anything about adsense. (that's what i do with mine..I actually put up copies of checks sent..just for fun)
