Adsense and article directories

    Did a search but didnt find anything so I want to ask.

    What are people's experience and views of adsense on article directories.

    I know about the duplicate content thing but If the directory isnt just pulling off Isnare and other providers and actually had quite original content on it, surely it should bring in quite good traffic and money if optimsed right.

    Any views?

    ... as with any other site. When running article directories I faced the same challenges as I faced with other sites.

    From my experience, Article directories are not money maker. My site gets 50+ article everyday not a single click.
    As far as Search Engine traffic, I don't get any since most of my pages are in Supplemental result. People submit a single article to many directories.

    duplicated content doesnt always benefit as much as unique original content

    Niche article directories would do better since you may get visitors who are actually interested in the subject rather than only webmasters who are looking for content.
