My analytics account shows me 5000 page views but adsense shows only 2000 impressions on same page . Any Idea ?

    thats completly incorrect.

Both display "impressions" or page impressions.

If you dont have ads on all your pages you will get a difference between adsense and analytics. Also, analytics and adsense are not syncronized so you should only compare yesterdays stats and not todays.

Also, your analytics account can be in a different time zone (ie, mines in GMT), while adsense is in PST.

The interesting thing is that Adsense reports are different :) Try to look at your income for today, then for the last month looking at today's earnings and then to since last payment looking at today's earning again. If you don't see any difference, do this a couple of times and you will see what I mean :)
