    No.

It's in the Adsense TOS or guidelines someplace or other that you can't serve up the same sort of ads.

I have adbrite on a few sites along with adsense, but they're the ones where an advertiser chooses to purchase the ad on my site, not the contextual or default ads that adbrite serves.

The Adbrite agent said you CAN have both-- But I wouldnt take their word for it, and screw yourself on Google.

I remember reading google TOS which said that it is ok except having 2 publisher on one page. I think its better to ask google directly

not of their both contextual. if it "reads" the content of your site and alters the ad then it's contextual. i think adbrite does this. so it would be a no - no. don't risk it, google will be worth it to you much more than adbrite.

adbrites ads are not contextual... I actually e-mailed them about this 3 days ago.
Whether or not google will allow them on one page I do not know.

It doesn't matter what you call them, they won't allow them.

Google has been tightening their definition of what is allowed lately. Some other ads that were tolerated previously are now getting the "no" treatment.

Write to Google to be sure of. If you choose the adbrite program, in which are the advertisers who choose you, then those aren't contextual ads, and that's not against Google TOS, because they aren't context sensitive, they are just sold text links. But does Google like the selling of text links :) ?

I have been using AdSense and AdBrite (and Kontera & occassionally Clicksor) on the same pages for a long time... And payments from AdSense are coming steadily without any problems.

Though, I can tell you something, nobody pays as well as AdSense, so why anything else?

If you still want to have them:
    1. AdBrite ads are allowed. They are NOT contextual. Even the 'network' ads of AdBrite are not contextual. So, the last I read Google TOS, there was no problem.
    2. If you want to use Kontera or Clicksor, DO NOT use their contextual ad banners (or text-match as Kontera calls them). You can use their ad-links however. Ad links make the words in your text clickable to make them ads.
    3. ASK Google if you are still NOT sure and post them here. All of us will learn from that :)

Kontera is pretty good as far as the text links are considered. Fairly good CTR. You can have as much as 6 text-links per page.

Whenever Google start the text-links service, they will ban Kontera and Clicksor and I will also stop using them

Good luck, and if you need any further info...

Of course they would say that, so you get banned from Adsense, then who do you turn to? :D

In all seriousness though, no you cant have Google Adsense and another type of contextual advertising network on the same page.

Google's TOS is ambiguous on this, perhaps intentionally. I have heard that Google says "no" when you email them about Adbrite ads, even regarding those that are not contextually-based. I suspect that some Google employees will ban you for showing Adbrite ads on the same page as AS whereas others won't. So personally, regardless of what the folks at Adbrite claim, I think it's risky at best to show both AS and Adbrite ads.

You could always use Clicksor as an Alternate Ad instead of those pecky Public Service ones...
