Thanks for the info. But which one comes next after Google. Which one would you suggest?

Commission Junction has been around for a long time and you can select the ads you want to display, knowing what you'll get paid upfront.

I used them about 5 years ago and did quite well, they even sent me a huge wooden whistle that sounded like a train one Christmas.

Its sounds good alternative for adsense, but not so good for the advertiser. Under such programmes 3, 4, 5 cent ads would be overlooked. Had Google adopted this policy Adsense may not have been so successful. Just think about it....every site on net running mesothelmia ads ;) :D

But then the advertisers would have to pay more to be competitive as well. The advertiser has the option of approving or denying a site which means only quality relevant sites will get to place the higher paying ads so the advertiser gets what he pays for.

I took a look at CJ again as I haven't been there in awhile, it's still a bit confusing at first and definately a lot more work that adding Google code.

Personally I found CJ a good company to work with at the time.

    Thanks for the list.

    cpase is not a cpc.

    Anybody has experience with bidvertiser?

Why do people follow the ad-layout pattern of adsense ? Can't they innovate something new?

I use MIVA on my scraper sites and sites that arent acceptable under Adsense Terms. They dont pay as well, but the ads look like normal text links, the CTR is very very good. They also have a lot of advertisers, not as many as adsense, but a decent amount. You also tell the script what term to use to pull up ads, You can tell it "dogs", or "dog training", or "Dog training tips", it doesnt guess what your site is about, you can get as general or specific as you want. It also ALWAYS displays ads in the following order, top paying ad on top, and goes in sequence from there (which I dont personally believe adsense does).

Thanks a lot for the list, I never knew there were that many similar programs. I hope everyone else will post expierences with the other programs on this list.

    Cheers

This is hard to answer. I didn't use all of them. I tried clicksor. so far got less than a nickel. Nothing from allfeeds. Nothing from adbrite.
    Very frustrating.

I used "clicksor" for three months .... I left because...

    1. When they paid into paypal account I had to pay the paypal fees. Totally unexceptable! Like paying to get my own money

    2. Their ad code stuffed up my site... (even thought) I only added one code ad per page (recommended) still I had a lot of trouble

    3. After the first month I could not earn more than 5 cents a day which ended up dropping to 1 cents a day... just not worth the trouble

Now I use "Casale" not bad .... could be better... (and they allow you to filter which ads appear on your site) as I don't like gambling ads... I can block them

I used "CJ" again for three months... nothing worth talking about I think I made about 14 bucks in the whole time ...

The trouble with "fastclick" is they insist on their flashing banner being above the fold and on my site it just looked terrible.... and most of their ads are for screensavers

    Just my 2 cents worth....

Adsense was doing well for me until the recent restructure... now even though my impressions and visitors to my site have tripled .... my earnings have dropped by half ...........
