What does one mean by AdSense Alternate Ads. Let's say I want to display ads on my blog from Clicksor.

    (a) What changes do I need to do to my Adsense code? I read something that a variable needs to be added like google_alternate_ad_url = "/adsense-alternate-ad.shtml"; Can anyone throw more light on this?

    (b) What type of advt (banner, text or both) can I publish from Clicksor along with Adsense?

    Thanks.

AFAIK, it is acceptable to use Clicksor as an AdSense Alternate Ad, because the Clicksor ads only display if an AdSense ad cannot display.

Google has never complained to me about using alternate ads from any of AdSense's competitors.

OK. So to understand you correctly it isnt allowed to have them on one page but as alternate url it is. That's great. I read a post on the WMW forum from Jenstar and he said it isnt ok to have them both on one page. Guess i didnt read the post well enough to understand that it is used as alternate url.

The URL is wherever you have stored your Clicksor ads.

Sorry the question was badly worded. However, Will's answer is what I was looking for. Anyway, Will's experience with Clicksor has not been good and I am wondering whether it's worth the effort.

When you have 2 or 3 adsense units and use clicksor as an alternative then can it happen that both show on one page? I mean one adsense unit shows up and then the alternative clicksor for those adsense couldn't find anything.

I was trying to do the same i.e to implement clicksor as the alternate ads, Before I did this I asked my friend and he suggested me to do a google about this and I did and I found a lot of information about Clicksor after that I decided to keep my transparent image intact as alternative ad!
I suggest every one to google "Clicksor" and go through few articles, Before implementing "clicksor" as alternate URL!

My understanding relating to clicksor was that you could only use the clicksor alternative if you had only one set of AdSense code on the page. If you had a few different ones and only 1 set showed up, then you could have both Clicksor and AdSense ads displaying on the same page and that is a no-no, I believe...

lets two of them end up being googles while the third one is clicksor?ur violating the TOS then

The site alternate-url-ads.com works through SearchFeed I use it on my sites and it works well. They format the ads to look just like google ads, so the layout never changes. - just a tip
