AdSense "Allowed Sites" feature

    I thought about asking your views & opinions about this issue: as you know, there's a feature in Google AdSense -> AdSense Setup > Allowed Sites to prevent misuse of our publisher ID. Here we specify our sites and can review if any other site is showing our publisher ID.

    In my account, I see google.com, google.co.uk, google.ca etc. many other regional google server URLs in the warning list. Even Bing.com! Does this mean Google is showing ads using my publisher ID somewhere in their pages? Below is what I am seeing in the warning -
    =======================================
    There are unauthorized sites that have displayed ads using your AdSense publisher ID within the last week. Please click here to view them.

    Unauthorized Sites - The following sites are not on your Allowed Sites list but have displayed ads using your AdSense publisher ID within the last week.
    Site URL www.bing.com
    www.google.com
    www.google.co.uk
    www.google.co.in
    www.google.nl
    www.google.ca
    www.google.be
    www.google.co.nz
    =======================================

    What does all this mean? How is Google or Bing using my publisher ID?

    I see you have a blog link next to your picture, so assuming it is your blog then at a fair guess some form of RSS on your site is being picked up by others and displaying your content along with your adsense ads. Wouldn't have clue how though -Sorry

    :) the blog link appearing here is an experiment i was doing. it has no ads. but if some sites are picking up rss, google/bing doesn't display someone's contents anywhere in their network. google takes rss only for blogsearch.google.com updating purpose. it maybe the google imagesearch page which is doing this. not sure. if we click an image, the webpage is loaded in the background of the image lightbox - it happens in google's own servers. another possibility is webcache.googleusercontent.com (for users who check cached pages). waiting for the experts to throw some light into this.

    I get the same, I just allowed them. I'm figuring it is some preview thing.

    I get a lot of translation sites in there too.

    Those are just pages shown either from cache views, or image views or translations (even tho translations show up as specific subdomain referral). Nothing to worry about, you can either allow all those sites or not.
