The site: http://www.debt-reduction-solution.com The question: Is it good to leave off adsense so a site doesn't overload a person, visually, with ad's? My thinking: I want to present the site as being focused on content. I've been adding daily content (blog and deeper pages). I've left off adsense on pages like "contact." Most pages have the left menu adsense. about 75% of those pages have the 338 box at the top. If I leave some pages without the adsense 338 box, the ad's will be more noticable when they do appear. I guess that begs the question is consistancy better...
For what it's worth, I've placed adsense on most pages. I've added an adsense footer as well as a 338 box in the text. I've also created channels for tracking so I can decide where the adsense is worth keeping. Back to marketing the site...
You've done the smart thing and employed channels to see what's working, what's not, etc. Let the data speak for itself. If the ads are well blended, it won't overload the visitor nor detract from the content.
I've tried it both ways -- not so many ads, and ads on every page. The winner: ads on every page. I have no measure of how many of my visitors are turned off by so many ads, but the ones who aren't turned off are definitely clicking on the ads.
