Hi Every One, There are so many gurus teaching remove link of google on your sites adsense ads which says "Advertise on this site" because it distracts the visitor and takes him or her away from the site so you lose money from that. Second thought it says " blending of ad is not well with "Advertise on this site" presence. Even though there are many things to say I would tell first how to remove that "Advertise on This Site" Go into your Google adsense account and click on "My Account" look for "Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up [edit]" then click on edit it takes you to account settings - ON site advertiser sign up , here remove the check on Subscription: Include me in Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up then save changes it may take up to 48 to 72 hrs to see the change. Know the real thing If you Carefully look into google adsense stats it has three sections Adsense for content Adsense for Search referrals --> products if you click on products it shows againg three links Adsense Firefox View all Referral products If You click on "view all referral products" then you will see Google Adsense Google Adwords Firefox Know that means ou will be paid for "ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE(AOTS)" link usage also so. That means your displaying of the link AOTS is not waste. It has one more use in blending "if AOTS link was not there then ll google ads will show only Ads by goooooogle" so only one side of ad has bottom line other side don't but AOTS completes other side so it makes it more pleasent than without it. But till today with my little experience i hace not got any referrals for adsense or adwords , so any experienced can explain how this "AOTS" link is paying or how google going to share its profit or adwords referred by publisher. AOTS is actually for advertisers who want to advertise on a particular site. For E.G. I happen to visit your site. I click on advertise on this site link. It takes me to adwords page. If I am an adwords member I will sign in using my account and pay Google for advertising 'ONLY' on your site. Google will keep some money and pay you the rest. These ads are moslty CPM ads. A site with really good traffic makes sense in keeping this on.
But it does take away from your pocket. Instead you can remove the "advertise on this site" like what the original poster said and use your own advertise on this site link with a page that allows webmasters to buy advertising space on your site using paypal. That way you keep all the money.
Top advertisers are safe doing it thru a big company like Google way. Benefits of advertising thru Google/Overture etc. You dont need to keep a check yourself if your banners/links are displayed 24/7. If the publisher is a fraud you dont need to waste your time behind him, the company will take care. You dont need to go on with the lengthy discussion of bargain and stuff with the publisher. Google will give you better ad options, ideas on how to go about advertising. You get nice stats of ads displayed, locations, clicks etc. in your account. and the list goes on......
