I've noticed that on one of my pages (a Squidoo lens: http://www.squidoo.com/royalty-free/) there is an image ad (on the right near the top) that has no mention of Adsense I right clicked and saved the location and pasted it into Notepad to double check the URL. It is indeed a Google served ad. The lens is about free royalty-free images (mine) and the ad leads off to http://www.dreamstime.com So it's most appropriate. I'm not privvy to the stats for CTR and so on, but I'm thinking ads like that will stand more of a chance of being clicked on by the average surfer. Is this happening on other sites? Or does Squidoo have Premium Publisher status? Other peoples thoughts?
no sometimes there are image ads which pay you for per 1000 impression so there is no "ads by google" on these pages
yeah there are ppl here who would report ur site to adsense, yes I know ur site is fully legal, but some people gets jealous and have to destroy for others.
I have the same type of ads on my site. Glad to see I'm not the only one. I've had several people email me asking how I got those ads and all I could tell them was "I don't know"
It happens only on the big sites which probably have an agreement with Google about it. They manage their adsense account with Google staff , not from the poor adsense site which all the "noobs" use.
my site is brand new too. i've only had adsense for little over a month and only have 100 unique hits a day.
I'm unsure how anyone could report it to Adsense, seeing that there's no TOS violation. And good luck to them for trying to bring down Squidoo
No harm done by posting the URL. I don't actually own the site. If it had been one of my sites I may have avoided posting the URL. But I probably should have taken a screenshot anyway, in case people aren't seeing the same ads I am.
