I just thought i would relay this bit of information to you all since everyone else has always been so helpfull, i thought i could throw some info your way, especially the newbies out there.

One of the problems that everyone has, at least in the begining of using adwords on a site is to keep the ads relate to the content on the page so that it will entice a user to click on an ad related to an article he/she is reading. This is one of the reasons i have created a blog on my site www.lazarusdesigns.com/news
if anyone cares to check it out.

For the past few weeks i have been talking with the google adwords team whom i must say have been very helpfull and responsive, best support i think i have delt with in a long time...that goes a long way in my book. The tech support people have helped me figure out a few things.

It Can take up to 2 weeks for adwords to be relative to content. Even once the ads become relevent, it will only be relevent to the content that the adbot indexed during the last time the google bot visited your site. My blog portion of the site has content that changes every day. As i am told, untill the googlebot visits your site again, which could be 2 weeks, that ad content will be relative to the old content. A google tech person said that it should index your sites content rather quickly if you have constantly changing content, however nothing is guaranteed as in the case of myself and they also said "Our engineers are currently investigating if it is possible to crawl
    AdSense sites more frequently."

The other thing i did was remove all words that had "blog" in it within the code. I originally had a problem with all the ads being related to blog. It seemed that i had folders named "blog" as well as other things within the code. I changed all that from "blog" to "news"

The third thing i did which seems to sometimes help, but im not sure of the full effect yet because of the frequency of the adbot is on the bottom of each article i put a link to another page, usually where i got the information source to, and i name that link something relative to the content of both my page and the page its linking too.

These few things im sure can help you all get your ads more relative. please let me know if you have had other luck in doing things other than what i have described.

This has been discussed before. There are a couple of thread about adsense placement on blogs and how to improve the ads relevancy. Use the search button at the top. Here is a thread that might be of any interest for you.
