When you are placing adsense on a website where you actually generate the code for the ads (unlike for something like blogger), can you use the same code for every ad, or do you have to generate a different piece of code for every ad you place on your website

for example, if i want two 250x250 ad units on each page, can i generate the code once and use it for all of them? or is that grounds for being banned?

You can use same ads on any number of websites. Just keep in mind the maximum number of ads on a single page. Making a channel for each will help you to track them easily.

You can use the same code for all of them. You wont be banned at all. But its better to use different ad code with a different channel for each ad. It makes you to track, which ad position generating more revenue for you.
