Adsense ads disabled because you shared some old tv ads ringtones Adsense dual policy

Two days ago I received a mail which said your ad serving has been disabled because of the below link. The link was shared by one of our users who put up some old indian television ads as ringtones hosted on rapidshare. These tv ads are from 80's and 90's era really old. I was wondering how come sites like zedge.net who have adsense and host ringtones on their own sites do not get banned from adsense. Just because they are are premium members they can do anything or the adsense policies change if you are premium member. Sites like way2sms have been using adsense ads in pop up layer for months but despite repeated complains they were never banned. Its just small publishers who suffer.

I have written to them how i have been using adsense since last 4 years on my site and was unaware of the fact that ringtones were against adsense policies also i have removed such posts hoping that the adsense account is enabled once again. Lets hope for the best but don't you think google follows dual policy.

With these, it would be great to open a new account and a valid payee name. I don't think Adsense would consider on getting your account back.
Back then, I did try to contact Google Adsense with my issues, and as usual, their defense is simple.. they are not taking everything slightly,
most especially in disabling accounts.. etc.

Yeah it looks like you got off with a warning for the most part. It does say you're account is still active, so you should find out how long before they start serving ads again to your site.

You are very lucky to not have lost your account, its just not worth putting adsense back onto that site and risk loosing it,try something else in its place but the adsense account must be worth keeping at all cost.

What I don't understand and never will is how Google Adsense will Kill someones account for the same things they themselves do on their Youtube Channel.

Have you notice they run Ads on Youtube videos of girls dancing half naked in thong underwear.

    Please comment on this Post!!!

    lol hell ya!
    me too...

It's a shame but that's how it is and we just have to deal with it. Google does what they do for a reason. I'm sure we don't exactly know/see why this happened or to others but I'm sure they have a reason. A lot of people from India make movie and ringtone sites not understanding the copyright issues (or caring) that are protected in the US. The other sites used as an example may distribute royalties to the proper channels and that's why they are not banned. There are companies that you can license this kind of content but it cost you because they money goes where it should (part of it) to the musician, actor, etc.
