I just noticed my article site stuck with displaying irrelevant ads. I tried to test my friends adsense code but it displayed relevant ads. Does anyone knows how to fix this? thanks,
You need to use section targeting.. https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=23168&topic=8441
still didnt work. If thats the case it should havent displayed relevant ads when i try to put my friends code
The publisher code used on the site has no affect on the ads displayed, so using your friend's code won't help. Improve your ad relevancy with these tips: decent keywords in title, URL and H1-6 good use of meta description and meta keywords tags section targeting around content, or to ignore navigation add links to authoritative sites using href title="..." tags use good keywords when linking to your site strong internal linking strategy, e.g. link related articles put (occasional) keywords in bold or italic make sure that your html code is properly validated block MFA and/or low-paying ads with adsblacklist.com (mileage will vary) be patient! it can take up to 2 weeks for any changes you make to be noticed If you're still stuck, then give us your URL for us to look at. Cryo.
i have this kind of problem before, then i email GA team, they gave me this advice. but it still doent work, so then i email it back. then they excalate my mail status, to AdSense's tech specialists he gave me this mail hope that can help you
Try to adjust your content and keywords - although I usually get all relavent ads but on occaision I get something whacky in there - maybe an advertiser has targeted one of your keywords and thats why the bogus ad shows up.
Hi guys sorry for the late response. Hi cryogenius What I meant was when i tried to put my friends publisher code, it was fine. It displayed relevants ads. I put back my publisher code and its displaying not relevant ads again. I never changed the layout of my site maybe 3 months now and it use to display relevant ads before. I also checked my other site with my adsense code in it and they are all displaying relevant ads. here's my site: http://www.articlewheel.com here are the type of ads my site is stuck with: Porsche parts/accessories Mail order, showroom & fit centre Porsche parts from 1966 to 2005 www.design911.co.uk Buy Handbag Tailor made in high quality Luxurious Leather & Thai Silks. www.theperryercollection.com Authentic Chloe Handbags Paddington and Silverado at Discounted Prices www.designersimports.com Designer Handbags On Sale Huge Selection & Free Shipping On Sale- 50%-70% Off All Handbags! www.iHandBagz.com Designer Handbags On Sale Huge Selection & Free Shipping On Sale- 50%-70% Off All Handbags! www.iHandBagz.com Women's Diabetic Handbags The first stylish ladies purse with a compartment for diabetic supplies www.Medicool.com Cigar Box Purses on Sale Handmade, Unique Cigar Box Purses Great Prices! and Large Selection www.mycigarboxpurse.com Christiana Handbags Hot fall Christiana hobo bags and satchels in stock, free shipping. www.stephaniehorne.com Healing Meditation Music Spiritually eclectic meditation music by Patrick Bernard www.patrickbernard.com Silk Handbags Colourful, Unique Silk Handbags Handmade in Cambodia. Wow, for a second there I thought I was on Digg! As suggested above, use section targeting. AdSense seems to be pulling the non-relevant ads from your "Most Recent Articles" section at the bottom of the home page and the "Additional Articles From" section on your single pages. The text is in those areas are have nothing to do with "article submissions". Use: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> and <!-- google_ad_section_end --> for the content on the single pages and maybe the welcome block on the home page.
no, not just from the home page i checked a dozen of articles with different topics and they are all displaying irrelevant ads. sample article: http://www.articlewheel.com/Article/What-s-Stopping-You-Starting-Your-Own-Business-/41466 I already tried Section Tarketing as suggested above but didnt work.
I tried your example above and I got all "home business" type of ads on all 3 of your ad blocks. Seems to be working. Are you geo targeting any of these ads?
hi mStraz, really? have you tried viewing other pages/articles? isn't it that geo targetting is for the advertisers(Adwords) only. https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=32735&topic=8526 thank you for the time.
I've run threw about 5-6 of the inner pages, all seem to be targeted. The funniest one I saw was in the "Men Issues" section.. lot's of "Enlargement" type of ads And by Geo target, I meant that the relevant ads shown for me because in my location. i.e. Canada. I think I need another coffee Your homepage looks to be the only problem as far as I can see. Most of your text on that page comes from the "Most Recent Articles" and AdSense is using that block for it's ads. Have you tried the ignore section targeting? Put: <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> Right BEFORE "<div class="morearticles">Most Recent Articles</font>" And then put: <!-- google_ad_section_end(weight=ignore) --> Right AFTER "<!-- End of Main Content -->" At least using that will eliminate the "Most Recent Articles" text block and might help with more relevant ads on the homepage.
done. It still displaying irrelevant though. Maybe because of my location. anyways, thanks there mStraz.
