Adsense ads are never displaying

I've got two websites that 'should' be displaying Adsense ads from the same Adsense account.

Site 1, tshirtalert.com, has a text link advertisement placed in the grey bar beneath the main navigation. However, I have not once seen this advertisement appear in the grey bar, it is always left blank.

Site 2, lagunabeachstays.com, has Google Adsense ads throughout the site. For this site, I selected the option in Google Adsense that allows 3rd party ads to be served if the Google Adsense ads do not appear. And all I ever see is these 3rd party advertisements.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I used to make $30-$50 a month from tshirtalert.com alone with Adsense, since this started, I make nothing!

My advice -> Test with third party ads removed.

What sort of 'site problem' do you think it is?

Your page speed is too slow. You have to remove some script or use a good host.

Is that the reason that the Google Ads don't load?

How do you measure how long each of the scripts on a site is taking to load.... and how come lagunabeachstays.com still has no ads - it's virtually script-less I thought..
