    If it's brand new, it may not have been crawled yet.

    You could also look into section targeting to get the ads you want.

    how long do you think it would take to start getting correct adds and will they change automatically?

    It could take days.. maybe even a week.. you don't have to do anything, it will happen automatically.

    When i first started with Adsense on my blog, i kept getting ads for other blogs and blog related stuff. I removed the word "blog" anywhere it appeared in the blog, and those ads went away after a few weeks. Now I dont have any ads in my blog at all so i don't have to worry about it :rolleyes:

    Basically add keywords and a description within your head tags, so that AdSense can target adverts with the same keywords. For example, if your main keywords were; 'trains', 'cars' and 'buses', then Google AdSense would place adverts relevant to trains, cars and buses.

    <html>
      <head>
        <title>Your title</title>
        <meta name="keywords" content="your keywords go here." />
        <meta name="description" content="your description goes here." />
      <head>

      <body>
      </body>
    </html>

    HTML:
    When I first put AdSense on my new website I was getting a lot of dating ads, but once Google crawled and indexed my website my adverts were bringing back better more relevant results. So just wait and watch ;).

    I have adsense on a few pages where the content plays a lesser roll in getting ads picked then the site URL.

    I have a site named Armchair SEO and have constantly gotten ads for lawn furniture over anything relating to the webmaster content within. Even with the targeting tags google has provided.

    My blog has LIFE in the URL and I'm constantly getting ads for "life quotes" and "Life insurance" over anything I happen to be discussing in the actual content of the entries.

    It would be like getting ads here on DP for Laser Pointers and Digital Watches...

    I'm assuming this is likely why my CTR is for shit...

    Give it a try to the ad section tag, I tested it for 2 months and the result is that it DOES work. Even tho AdSense team does not guarantee if it works or not, and that it takes up to 2 weeks for the bot to crawl your content and make the changes, it is worth the time using it.

    I have explained here how the adsense adsection tag works if you are interested to give a read.

    In any case, you have to wrap the important keywords between the start and end adsection tag.

    I've used these <!-- google_ad_section_start --> and <!-- google_ad_section_end --> with little to no effect in over a weeks time.

    Though, it only happens on a few of my pages...

    If you are using a blog and If you write new post with a diffrent topic the adsense add will change. I had observed this for a long time
