Came across this today on ad placement, eye opening and seems the best place for ads is not quite where you'd think... http://www.adweek.com/news/technology/what-part-web-page-gets-highest-viewership-152443#!
Yah the big rectangle ad in right sidebar have full chance to get maximum clicks but I doubt about the top ad. I really didn't understand this concept why people put ad on top of their logo and menu? how it looks when your site starts with ad
Not to say the article is wrong but I stick to the same placement for all my sites, top middle, sidebar right top then side bar right a little lower just under the fold. They perform in that order, top highest then side right then side right below, that's over 4 sites. That leaves the one just below the fold in the place the article suggests is best as being the lowest earner on every site. That's just my experience, sure others will have different successes.
Is it here that I saw it that talked about placing ads in line with images then making ads borderless or some sort so that it actually bends with the picture? Haven't tried that yet but seems promising
Karshim are you always that suspicious? Looks like a very interesting article, that picture alone says it all.
