I ran a small test a couple of months ago on AdWords, but didn't get any registration out of a bunch of clicks, so I stopped. But I've just reviewed the campaign and honestly it was not very well made.

I might give it another try, putting a little extra grey matter into it.

    We'll see.

Edit > Just playing devil's advocate here, wouldn't this qualify under "Buying Weight"?

I don't see how - they are just actively seeking referrals to boost their weight.

I don't think that would work. People clicking on an adwords ad would just be looking for a quick way to type in their URL and get a link, like a directory or something.

Tell them that they have to install a complicated code and ad some pages to their sites and they will just run away.

Waste of money in my opinion.

Found this in the source. How does it break down?

    <a id=aw8 href=/url?sa=l&q=http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/%3Fs%3D6025&ai=BoTgtC8IfQuafEracYaWFrY0FtIP1CJaX5ZsBgPiUhgPAqQcQCBgIKBE4AEjJOcgBAQ&num=8

I've run into this before and am curious what that is. Is it ASCII, Hexidecimal... Anyone know?

Actually AdWords not AdSense. No that it matters...good catch...yes I was thinking of this too.

What are Shawn's thoughts around this.

I have started my Adwords Campaign for DP. I am in the race.

Shawn, you have given me a reason to restart adwords... We attempted it a few months back and found it to be a waste of money.

I am at a 66% CTR for a nickel per click for most of my keyword phrases.
I will see you at the finish line boys (and ladies).

I am going to give it a week or so to see if we have any registrations.

The next thing we are going to see is a bunch of Digital Point Ads overpowering any keyword phrase out there.... LOL

There will be some off 30 DP ads to the right.... too funny.

What do you mean with 'the keyword'. We're obviously not just bidding for 'Digital Point' or 'Co-op Ad Network'. There's at least 2 dozen good related keywords that could be used for a campaign like this.

Yeah.. the keywords would be better wording I suppose.

It looks like ad network has gotten up to 42 cents, and banner network close to $2.

    I'll be damned.

Not my ad but it is my ad text. Which lazy bastard stole that? It's not mine because I'm not on the content network and it's not my title.

I've got 'aff' in there as well.
