my question is regarding my page www.whois-barack-obama.com/opponents.htm. The ads that are showing are not related to my content. I'd like to focus it more. i used the ad section start and end operators for the candidate list at the top of the page, but my ads are still not focussed. can somebody take a look at my html source and let me know what i did wrong?

    thanks

wait some hours or days for the adsense robot to get a better understanding of your page's content

i dont think you've done anything wrong - there just may not be many Barak oBama type ads to display..
One thing i noticed that *might* cause you some problems in the future are some stop-words on your page like: War, Death, gay

see, since there were other words, i put the operators around the top content only that has the names of presidential candidates. so that is the only content it should see. and i know there are enough ads for all the candidates. hopefully things will improve.

Give it some time .. in the meantime work on building your traffic.. the best-targeted ads in the world are worthless if nobody sees them! :)

It takes a while for Google to figure out what to display in my experience - try adding a little more content - an 'about this page' type thing at the top, and see if you can steer the content with that. What kind of ads are you after though? I'm getting a lot of stuff about the public service when I view your page, which doesn't seem too irellevant for an election site?

Waiting a minutes for google to figure on your webpage.
Because in first time that google bot come to your website.
It will collect data ie. URL, title to show relevant ads in the first time.

well, i'd like ads about other candidates. thats why i put the section_start and section_end operators at the top of the page around the names of the other candidates. hopefully things will get better.

Google Adsense is like Fuel Injection.

Doesn't need any tuning or adjustments. It automatically adjusts the fuel & air ratio to get a clean burning engine.

You have to drive it a few miles first though so the bearings get used to the road.

...BUT.. sometimes you have to put a little injector-cleaner in the tank (section targeting)....

I agree. I don't think there is enough inventory for right kind of ads to appear ona topics of that nature.

You might never have all of the ads showing exactly what you want it to. Just give it some time and it may change somewhat. Glad to see a Obama supporter!
