I got this email from Google today that Adsense publishers need to migrate to google accounts for sure. Here is the mail. Did anybody else also got this? I don't want to get dependent completely on Google. I remember few people on this forum telling that for some reason or the other their gmail account was banned.
i did not get any email like that . i have heart it for the first time. i suggest to be careful . i think somebody may want to get your adsense username and password
I got it as well but for whatever reason was getting an error when I was trying to use my existing Google account... I'm awaiting their response. So what sort of "new features and functionality" are at the end of this rainbow?
I believe the clue is in the last line of the email: "* Use an email address that has never been associated with another AdWords or AdSense account."
I used my current login and it's been fine. I think where they say "another account" they mean a 2nd one. They probably just don't want people saying "YOU CAN HAVE A 2nd ACCOUNT?!?"
I didn't receive that email but you can use the links jim karter provided. What I don't like is the fact that you can't use your main google account which is in my case used for gmail, adwords, ... so everytime I will have to switch login to check adsense. I contacted them if they can do something about this.
As it stands Adwords and AdSense accounts can't be linked so I think you need to use separate email addresses at this stage - though I imagine the Google are probably going to link the two at some point down the line. I know there is a chorus of people wanting the two to be linked.
That was their answer. So what I did is I changed the login I used for adwords and used my main gmail account for adsense. more convenient to me as I check email more often than adwords. Thanks for that link Karter, I used it to migrate.
OK this is weird, Now I was able to signup for a new adwords account using a google account that is still linked to my adsense account However this adwords account is really really really slow.
