As far as "Root approved url" it means that you can only run ads on domain.com and all sub-directories. You can't get one domain approved and then put it on another.
As for the root approved URL, no, they mean that you can only run ads on a site with the root URL approved. (i.e. if www.ki4bbo.org was approved, I couldn't run ads on thejosher.com unless I got that approved) I know they have popunders, and they might be optional, not really sure about that. Josh
When i looked at fastclick (don't think i have enough traffic yet) it looked to me like popunders were one option of ads you could display. i've been following this thread but haven't posted, but let me just say that i'm really sorry to hear the sucky news Josh
That's what I said...even after the recent severe drop in G's earnings I calculate they still rule by a longshot. Fastclick ads and banners are awesome and beg to be clicked. I had a url to show you up until a few days ago. I stripped fastclick as it appeared on the same page as AS, I have since learned that you can run the fastclick banners with google text ads. Unfortunately I was only using thier banners for 3 weeks so I can't tell you how well they pay...I can say the revenue you make is 1 penny to 1 G dollar. Yes they offer all formats, including movie pop ups (I forget the name for them) You can run ads on as many pages as you like.
Hmmmm. Thanks for the info. I might just focus on getting my traffic up I suppose. I might go in for FastClick once I'm getting 1,000 unique a day!
Sorry to be off-topic, but can anyone specify where we can email AdSense, if we click accidently on our own ads? Few times, I have also clicked mistakenly but I guess they discounted those clicks.
Thanks Josh, I am writing them mail to make sure that they are not counting any false clicks. Dont want to discount all valid clicks I got by this time.
I find it kinda funny how people email google when they accidentally click on thier own ad...i duno seems funny. I wonder how the guy who reads googlee emails reacts to all these 'I clicked my ads appologies' He must get thousands of these a day.
I know.. Google is a bit smarter than that. I would imagine that they have in place a system that sees these clicks, and can make a guess of what is legit, and what is not. I would think it would take a hellava lot more than 2 clicks to set off alarms. I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing in that regard.
People do get warnings for as few as 4 clicks. Never view your webpage after logging into adsense. Delete your cookies after closing the adsense screen then you will be ok.
I'll say it again, Adhearus pays about 8-16 cents per click, but CPM will be marginally lower because accidental clicks don't count. (i.e. the user has to actually go thru a lander page to the site) but don't expect them to perform anything near g.
Adhearus accepted my application, I put them on my site, and before I even got one click canceled me for no reason. And their ads look ugly Josh
The sties I'm running adhearus on haven't been cancelled, but I agree it seems they are desperate for a variety of advertisers and are accepting some very ugly ads. I ended up blocking some ads just because they were so ugly, not because the site was a competitor. I remember one ad for a lawfirm was a 200X200 image stretched into a banner! I couldn't believe it. It was as if a 4 year old got into MS paint. but if anyone is considering adhearus, i reccomend using the 468X68 banner. Like G, it's the most effective. some of the ad sizes in Adhearus are so ridiculously hard to put content in that the majority of advertisers have shied away from them, and you'll have only a handful of ads to display if you don't go for the traditional ad sizes.
lol i blocked it. I should have saved it. Let me check the website's url...I think I can do that in my Cpanel. BRB. EDIT: Don't have the original ad, but it was for hwchicagolaw.com. god it was so horribly stretched...i think someone who does projects here could probably help them out with their site and adverts.... but im already off topic....
