You are legally obligated to declare whatever income you earn during the year, even if Google doesn't report it. I haven't received my 1099 yet though.

Don't expect on getting one if you aren't in the U.S. :)

I've just received mine...just barely...kinda of upsetting to just barly make the 1099 mark :( Better luck this year I guess.

You do not have to report any wages under $600, for the year. That means all of your wages combined. If G is the only way you earn money and it was less than $600 for the year, then you do not need report it to the IRS. If you made more than $600 last year, you need to report it. If they do not send you a 1099 and you are reporting all income you can request one be sent express from Google. They are requierd by fed law to send one upon request. Even if you only made $1.

Side note: I was an accountant and tax pro. I have just recently started using adsense after preparing forms for a client who made is bank-roll off of adsense. I have also heared from other tax pros that the gov will be reviewing returns from e-businesses, specificly adsense publishers, with much more detail.

I am not your lawyer, accountant, or tax pro: Please seek the advice of a trained professional. CYC...

Nonsense. If you were a tax pro, you would know the $600 amount refers to the amount of income a company would have had to pay you before they send you a 1099. It has nothing to do with your total earnings.
In fact, if you earn less than the amount specified in the 1040 instructions (this number changes, and is in the THOUSANDS, not $600) , then you don't have to file a tax form.
