Forums usually aren't big earners until you get 300 members on at anytime (random figure, but I'm sure DP gets something like that). A blog could be good, since you'd get to write a lot of topics that you enjoy, but it gets tideous having to keep it active. Educational sites aren't very good, especially as earners when compaired to the amount of work you'd have to do.

Mostly, just go with something you like doing and you know you can think of enough content where the market isn't saturated too heavily.

As a person with many many forums, stay away from forums lol. It's hard to start a decent community and even harder to make money from it.

what's your expertise? what do you like to write about? or rather, what do you like doing? you could start a blog about that. or an informational site, with proper categorization and all. however, you might want to research some related keywords that are being searched on SEs so that you could target your site for visitors.

all sites will be hard to make money from initially but from personal experience, forums are the hardest to start, unless your have an already popular site and then add in a forum.

but don't just add in one if you will not have the time to start it up and two would be not to start one if you dont see the potential in it for it to grow with active members.
