That's about 1% CTR which isn't too good.
Try putting the half banners between the headlines on the homepage instead of at the top.

I have a similar ctr with one of my sites. I think i might go a different route than adsense in the near future because i want to keep the pages looking functional but its not working to well from a revenue standpoint.

Add some link unit ads in your sidebar which are missing right now. I hope link units will do the trick for you

Adsense always tells about blending... blend your ads to the pages and content.

Try the most high rated ads of adsense which are the small rectangle, square and large rectangle for inline contents and for headings try the banners and skyscrapers... but never the less do not over do... just strategically place your ads for users to see FIRST when they load the page.

    this might help:
remove the 468x60 ads and replace it by one 336x280. use #F8F8F8 for background and border, #333333 for text and url. link should be in same color as your other links.

Also in your content pages try adding inline ads in the right of your content. Much like this:

seems i gave you the wrong color.
remove the border by using #F0F0F0 (same color as your background) for background and border. it's important that your ads look like content!
text and url should be in black, only the link should be in the same color as your other links (#CC0000).

use these settings in adsense setup

    danthuluri,

I'm new here but I had been displaying Adsense ads at my 25+ sites since 2005.

I had a look at your Hyderabadrealguide.com and observe that you are display
Adsense ads at the top (google_ad_format = "728x90_as"). Since I have not
been getting much clicks from this format, I have abandoned it for good.

    I prefer "google_ad_format = "468x60_as"" and "google_ad_format = "160x600_as"". I
don't think I have made a wrong choice because I managed to say Goodbye to my
employees after displaying Adsense for about six months and I have no regrets since.

Put the sky scraper above the Random Property and fore it to Text-Ads ONLY. Image ads don't get many clicks.

You must reorder the position of the ad blocks, by the way
that's very poor click through rate. May be it's different
    market.

The CPC is decent, the CTR is quite low. My CTR maxes out at about 15% while not over-doing it.

Skyscraper all the way to the left. I tried two 160x600s on one of my sites (one left one right) and get 80% of the clicks on the left Skyscraper. All sites are different but I bet you will get more clicks if you move your 160x600 to the left side. Good luck ;)
