I was wondering what happens if your competition picks your adsence publisher id and putt’s it on same ads running on a adult site, and then goes to google complaining.
    Do you get banned?

You could probably talk your way out of it. But why would anyone want to put your adsense on their site?

We have a coupe companies who would love to see us get smacked with something like that, so revenge could motivate someone to do it.

The only way out that I can think of is if you could point out that the adult site is owned by someone else. Unfortunately, most of those sites are private registrations, so good luck on that one (and even f you do know its not a guarantee).

You have to remember that above all else, Google's primary concern is the quality and reputation of its advertising network. If you, I or Bill Gates (oh yea... you know he uses AdSense!) even look like we are doing something bad, Google has the tight to ban in their TOS. Look at it from their perspective. What would you do?

Google keep record of the IP that you log in to your Adsense account..so they know where you are..it is not that easy to screw someone up

well i agree with leegoerge in that matter I was onc banned for 300 invalid clicks and unfortunatly at time i was getting onyl 1-2 hits per day as i had just started my site... but now case is different even though if anyone tend to click much he cant do anything as i know google people has made their system well enhaced so that we publishers dont get screwed...

A person can easily get an adsense code of a competitor and put it on an adult site, it;s nothing to do with logging in adsense..? whoever does this really lame.

This is the exact reason why you should use some kind of Adsense tracking tool. I use Adsense Gold. If you notice ANY suddent boost in your Adsense income, immediatly contact Google about it. Don't just smile if you stats don't show clicks in your own sites. It takes about week to 2 weeks for Google to analyze data and then you get banned.

When you contact Google, keep all e-mails in case they still ban you. Then you need to take the first step and contact Google about it and show e-mails + tracker data.

Knowing where you are have nothing to do with where your servers are. You can be in Australia and have server in the US, Italy or Zimbabwe for that matter.

Nope. I was thinking about this just few weeks ago. You can't prevent this happening if somebody chooses to target you. I have one method in works, but it's not even on the paper yet so I don't know if it works at all.

Still, I wouldn't shit my pants just because it's possible. I would worry more about the fact that some pissed guy can close your account just by going click frenzy on your ads.

And still I wouldn't worry about any of those things. If you are going by the Adsense guidelines and not jerking around your visitors, it's a slim change that somebody will paste your pub-id to porn site or go click frenzy.

Remember, use ads as content, not as ads. Offer them as part of the content, not as ads.
