ADSDAQ's "Smart Pricing"

A tip for those of you running ADSDAQ as your CPM network. If you noticed that your fill rates are next to nothing then you've probably been put on a Passback Restriction. It's basically their equivalent for Adsense Smart Pricing.

If your site isnt giving the advertisers good clicks and conversions then their system will automatically smart price you. If you run the Impression Categories report, you'll see about 80-90% of your impressions tagged as Not Classified

    To fix, you should

-Tweak your placement and put the adsdaq tags above the fold.
-place the code directly into your pages, don't use an adservers or iframe

After a couple of days, your fills should go back up.

They started doing this around the end of April/beginning of May. My earnings are now back up to over $100+ per day.

I was advertising on ADSDAQ, then i realize i wasn't getting much clicks then I also realize their cpm cost for the niche I was into was $13 CPM

Then i was like wtf, i'll like a refund please.
Yes, I actually sucked it up and place a cpm ad for $13, when it wasn't receiving any clicks, I stepped on the brakes...

Umm..why would you pay that much?

The highest I've seen an advertiser willing spend was McDonolds. They have $12 CPM banners on Burst.

To be honest i just wanted to see if I was going to get any clicks out of it. So either the advertising method isn't that great or platform serving isn't that great, but then again it could also be the traffic from the websites.

I just never really like their whole control panel etc. There wasn't enough options to advertise as if i did it with adwords.

ADSDAQ really sucks! (sorry, but it's true)

    1. They accept only few sites
    2. Their CPM rates are low, whatever they say.
    3. Their advertising is expensive.
    4. Their ads are for US most likely.

Depends on the size. 300x250s will fill well at $2cpm, 160x600 at $1.50 and 728x90 at $1

Thanks same prices as me, but Im getting pretty crappy fill about 4%-7% on average. Didn't have the uncategorized problem either last month. What's typically your CTR rate? Mine's anywhere from 0.15 to 0.06 so wondering if that might be the cause ...

I'm not sure how often the bot is visiting me. My niche is related to Asian pop culture stuff, so I have only have abotu 25% U.S. visitors. Ok at least I know your CTR isn't a lot higher than mine, I guess it might be you have more U.S. users? BTW mind if I PM and ask you for some tips?

Yeah that's your problem. They only pay for US impressions. Find a good network to fill your world impressions. Morning Falls is good. They fill 100% with some~ premium ads and mostly crappy ones, but you have wait 2 weeks before their system gives you a decent CPM.
